Getting here

The museum is located at Djurgårdsstrand 17 (former Djurgårdsvägen 50), just by the waterfront between the Vasa Museum and Gröna Lund amusement park. It is easy to get here by public transportation, and beautiful cycling and walking paths lead here.

Walk or bike

It is easy to walk or cycle to Djurgården. From the city center it takes about 40 minutes to walk and 15 minutes to cycle.

There are nice bike lanes along Strandvägen and around Djurgården. Bicycle parking is available in front of the entrance.

Public transport

With SL:

  • Bus 67, stop Liljevalchs / Gröna Lund.
  • Tram 7, stop Liljevalchs / Gröna Lund. Please note that line 7 is experiencing traffic disruptions 1-21 October and replacement buses are operating the route. Please add a little extra time for the journey, or choose the ferry or bus 67 instead.
  • Ferry Djurgårdsfärjan line 82, stop Gröna Lunds brygga. Departs from Slussen.

Other services:

  • The ferry M/S Emelie Cityline stops at Gröna Lunds brygga. Departs from Nybroviken, Hammarby Sjöstad and Masthamnen / the Viking Line terminal.

By car

Due to the nature and environment of Djurgården, parts of Djurgårdsvägen are closed to vehicular traffic on weekends during certain parts of the year. This does not apply to buses, taxis, vehicles with disabilities or bicycles and mopeds.

The parking spaces at Djurgården are quite few. Directly to the right after Djurgårdsbron there is a large car park, Norra Varvsporten, Galärvarvsvägen 7. Then walk past the Vasa Museum to Vrak.

In front of the museum entrance there is a parking space for visitors with a special permit.

Vrak's address, Djurgårdsstrand 17, was previously called Djurgårdsvägen 50.
